Home › Save & Recover Progress
Most players only think about saving their Dice Dreams account on the day they lose it — a cracked phone, a factory reset, a reinstall that starts them back at level one with months of upgrades gone. Almost every one of those losses is preventable, and almost every one is recoverable if you did one small thing earlier. This guide explains how saving actually works, the two-minute habit that protects you, and the steps to get a lost village back.
Your castle, coins and progress are not stored on your phone — they live on SuperPlay's servers. What is stored on your phone is only which account you are logged in as. That distinction explains both why progress can vanish and how to get it back.
If you started playing without linking anything, your progress is tied to that single device and to a fragile local token. Clear the app data, lose the phone, or reinstall, and there is nothing on the server for a new install to reconnect to — so it hands you a fresh village. This is the number one cause of "I lost all my Dice Dreams progress."
Connecting the game to Facebook, Google Play Games, or Apple Game Center writes your progress against that account. Reinstall on any phone, tap the same "continue with" option, and your castle comes back exactly as you left it. The link is the save file — the game itself never stores your village locally.
Linking a second account part-way through can fork your progress — the server now has two save slots and the app may open the wrong one. Choose the platform you are least likely to abandon (for most people, the one tied to an email you control) and use only that on every device you play Dice Dreams on.
Do all of this while you can still log in. Once progress is gone, you are negotiating with support from a weaker position; a linked account is the difference between "recovered in a minute" and "weeks of tickets with no guarantee."
Open the in-game Settings and connect to at least one platform now, even if you have been "guest" for months. The linking prompt remembers everything you have built. There is no downside to linking a second time as long as you keep using the same primary account afterwards.
Recovery flows for Facebook or Google go through the email on that account. If the linked account's email is old or locked, you can be shut out of your own village. Fix the email on the linked account first, then link the game.
Your Dice Dreams account is only as safe as the login it is linked to. 2FA on the Facebook/Google/Apple side stops someone who guesses your password from also taking your castle and any unspent coins.
Settings shows a numeric Player ID. Screenshot it or note it somewhere outside the game. If you ever have to prove a lost village is yours, that ID plus any purchase receipts are the strongest evidence you can give support.
Work down this list in order. Most "lost" villages are recovered at step two, because the data was never actually gone — the app just opened the wrong or a new save slot.
Fully close the app and reopen it. If you see a new village, you are likely on a guest or secondary slot. Go to Settings and confirm which platform account is currently connected — switching back to the one you originally linked usually brings the real save right back.
On a new or reset phone, install Dice Dreams and, on the opening screen, choose the same platform you linked earlier instead of playing as guest. This pulls your server-side progress down. Don't start a guest game first and try to merge it afterwards — open the account prompt immediately.
If the save truly isn't there, use the in-game "Help/Support" option (or the publisher's official support form) — never a third party. Give them your Player ID, the linked account name, roughly when the loss happened, and your level. Purchase receipts from the app store help confirm ownership of a monetised account.
Server-side restores take time and go through verification. Reply to the original ticket rather than opening new ones, and keep the reference number. If an unlinked guest save is the case, be honest about that — it sets expectations, because an account that was never tied to anything has little for support to restore against.
Desperation after a loss is exactly when the worst advice spreads. Two patterns come up constantly, and both can turn a recoverable situation into a permanently stolen account.
Any site or DM offering "free dice," a "dice generator," or "account recovery" in exchange for your Facebook/Google password is a credential-harvesting scam. There is no external tool that can restore your save — only the in-game link and the publisher's own support can. Never type your login anywhere except the official app or the app store.
People selling account-repair or "hack back your castle" services on social platforms are, at best, ineffective and, at worst, a way to have a stolen account handed to someone else. Official support is free and is the only route that touches the real save data. We break down the free-dice scam signals in full on the free dice page.
A card trade — the normal, allowed way to finish a set — uses only the in-game trade screen and a friend code. If a "trader" asks you to log into something to verify or complete the deal, that is the same scam wearing a different label. The whole point of linking is that the account is yours and private; never hand it over.
