Straight answers to the questions players ask most — each one links to the full guide behind it if you want the deeper version.
Friend gifts are the biggest source by far, then daily quests and login rewards, event milestone payouts, and team rewards. Every one is inside the game and costs nothing. There is no legitimate "dice generator" — the trick is that the free sources are boring but reliable, and players who run them daily out-resource everyone chasing generator links. Full breakdown on the free dice page.
Yes — the official game is safe. The two real risks are third-party "free dice" websites (which steal logins and push fake apps) and in-app spending pressure. Play free, never enter your login on a dice site, and treat any download prompt outside the app store as hostile. More on the what-is-dice-dreams page.
Raise it to earn coins fast for a castle jump, since coins scale with the bet. Drop it when you are hunting cards, chests or event triggers, because those fire once per roll and a high bet just buys you fewer rolls. The calculator shows the exact trade-off for your stack.
Yes — a shield blocks raids while active. The correct use is proactive: turn one on before going offline holding coins you could not spend. A shield used while you are playing is wasted, since you can react to attacks yourself during a session. Attack & defence guide →
Yes. Bank a reserve two to three days ahead and spend it inside a boosted window — races, tournaments and multiplier days pay a multiple on dice you would have rolled anyway. Check the events tab before spending for any reason. Events guide →
For most players, no. The daily in-game sources produce a few hundred free dice a week, and paid packs rarely change long-term progress enough to justify real money. If you do spend, spend on something you want, not to escape a stall.
Same genre and same loop — roll a resource, build, attack, collect cards, chase events — with different theming. Strategy transfers almost completely. See the full comparison.
Because the rarest cards appear far less often than the commons you already have plenty of. Do not grind packs for the last card — trade with an active team or community instead, which takes minutes instead of weeks. Cards & team guide →
Almost always because you are rolling at too high a bet for the size of your stack. A big multiplier burns a three-digit pile in a handful of rolls before any useful trigger lands. Drop to a moderate bet so the same stack buys many more rolls, and aim your dice at events that refund part of what you spend. The calculator shows how fast a bet drains your exact stack.
No. Dice Dreams needs an internet connection for its social attacks, raids, events and team features, so there is no true offline mode. The app will open on a weak connection, but server-dependent rewards and spins only settle once you reconnect — which is part of why it feels so social and event-driven.
Constantly — the rotation moves faster than any guide can track. That is why we describe the recurring types of events and the strategy around them rather than specific dates or point values that go stale within a week. Live timers and exact rewards always come from the in-app events tab, never from a website. Events guide →
